End Of Year Updates
With the holidays wrapping up and 2021 coming to a close, It was time for me to look forward and prepare where Cyclone will be in next few months. Since the last update, there has been several things I wish to talk about quick.
FMOD intergration
I’ve gotten feedback that the standard OpenAL sound system wasn’t cutting it so Cyclone now uses the FMOD Studio API for all in-game sounds. There is still some work still to be down, but I’ve gotten better feedback with this now being in.
Radios
Through out the initial maps, there are radios scattered around the maps. These radios might be tucked in somewhere or be in hard to reach areas which you may need your Cyclone to get to. Once picked up, the radio will play a music loop. There’s an idea is to see if you can get it to the exit cleanser to get an achievement but it hasn’t been implemented as of yet.
More Polish Overall
The observation rooms now have light fixtures, The target prop has a different texture and more of the maps are detailed.
There’s a lot of small things to wrap up and get in but I’m still looking at an Early Access release in the first half of 2022. This release is planned to have the base game and additional feature updates will be implemented as time goes on. In the meantime, I’m continuing to play test and adjust the game weekly.
